Lower energy use at Tropical Shipping’s Facility in St Thomas USVI.
RESULT:
Solar was operational for several mounts until Hurricanes Irma and Maria took power out to the island. Solar panels survived but without power, the system shuts down until the power is restored.

Customer Goal: To install a solar system that offsets power usage and can be used as an educational tool for the public. Description: We installed PV panels on the roof of the museum that not only provide power, but also tie into an interpretive display for the public to see how much energy can be produced through solar power.

Customer Goal: To decrease city reliance on Description: We installed a battery storage system that is easily expandable for when the park can install solar and further reduce the noise and small associated with diesel-generated power.

Customer Goal: Install an off-grid system to utilize solar-generated power as the primary power source. Description: We installed several panels and battery storage areas that were engineered for both island use and to withstand hurricanes. The residents of Adams Key now only utilize diesel generated power in summer when power needs are highest due to air conditioning use.
