April 22, 2010 Ed Strobel, President of Sunshine Solar Services, has become a "NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer" (TM). There are only 21 NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installers in the State of Florida. NABCEP Certification requires responsibility to satisfy the customer's needs, while providing them with top class service and skill.

April 19, 2010 Sunshine Solar Services, Inc designed a 25,380 Watt solar PV system for the City of Tamarac consisting of 108 235 watt Sharp solar panels, 3 SMA 8000W Sunny Boy inverters and a new racking systems redesigned for the Florida market by SSS and CSW. The new racking system allows for faster installation, less roof penetrations and the panels fold up for each roof maintenance during the life of the roof. It was designed for Miami-Dade hurricane standards and can be used on any flat roof. The installation was done by Sunshine Solar Services, Inc. and Roofing Concepts Inc. The System was paid for with Federal ARRA money and should save the city substantial money on their power bill for the Tamarac Community Center.

April 5, 2010 Sunshine Solar Services was chosen by Khovanian Builders to help them build the first ever solar tile equipped spec home in Florida. The project was part of a fast track build where they built 4 homes in 45 days completing each home in thirty days from the foundation to completion. Project finished on time and on budget.

March 1, 2010 Sunshine Solar Services was chosen by the US National Park Service to convert one of their islands off shore of Miami from diesel to solar and diesel hybrid. Sunshine Solar Services was also chosen to help cut electrical consumption on the island by over 50% by changing all of the air conditioning, lighting, insulation, and water heating to more efficient systems.

January 18, 2010 Sunshine Solar Services, Inc. and Roofing Concepts Inc partner to win 125,000 watt solar installation at the City of Tamarac. SSS and RCU will be installing 25,000 watts of Solar on 5 city owned buildings in the City of Tamarac. The first of those buildings is the Community and Senior Center on West Commercial Boulevard.

August 10, 2009 Sunshine Solar Services CEO, Ed Strobel contracted for 3 million watts of Wind power to be installed on the family farm in Illinois. That install was finished this week 75 miles south of Chicago, the windy city as part of a very large wind farm covering 3 counties. Mr. Strobel's farm is part of that mega farm with 2 GE manufactured 1.5 Megawatt towers. These should produce enough energy to supply over 100 homes with power thus making the entire mega-farm produce enough power for over 150,000 homes. Now, if we could only match that level of commitment in Florida with our largest resource the Sun we would be a long way towards energy independence in this country.
